The world is full of dreamers…and dreams.
This is mine.
A dream found me. I didn't find it. I fell asleep listening to Christian Kane’s (The Librarians, Leverage, Angel, 50-to-1, Secondhand Lions and many more) music. I had a dream that haunted me for a month: day and night, asleep or awake. It tumbled in my mind until a little voice finally whispered to me,
“Write it down…maybe it’ll shut up.”
and So I did.
I never had an intention to be a writer, but the voice didn't stop (and I thank God!). I’m eternally grateful for the change in direction. That dream became the first of six stories that are now my 1 Chosen Road series.
The dream that found me--was my path--calling to me. I invite you to come along for the ride.
(Note: That isn't spelled Didi or Di Di. It's DiDi.)
Some of my Favorite Things
1. The Road Not Taken
Robert Frost (1874–1963). Mountain Interval. 1920.
TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth; 5
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same, 10
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back. 15
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference. 20
